What we keep

We store your email, display name, timezone, adult confirmation, account preferences, cohort membership, promises, check-ins, progress, reflections, messages, and any reports or blocks you submit. If attendance is recorded for your challenge, that record is also associated with your account. Our hosting and authentication services process technical information such as IP addresses, request times and errors to provide and protect the service.

What other people see

Your cohort can see shared promise wording, completion and cohort messages. You can hide a promise’s wording while leaving its completion visible. Reflections and hidden wording are excluded from routine founder and moderator views. Infrastructure administrators may have technical access; this is not end-to-end encrypted storage. Public shout-outs require your separate opt-in, which you can change in Settings.

How we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, run your challenge, calculate progress, support your cohort, respond to requests and investigate abuse. We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-app advertising. This version does not include advertising trackers or third-party behavioral analytics.

Service providers

Supabase provides authentication and database hosting, and Vercel hosts the website and API. Email delivery providers process your address and sign-in messages. These providers process information to operate the service. Data may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate.

Retention and deletion

Your account and challenge history remain available while you keep your account, including after a challenge ends. Withdrawing from a locked challenge does not delete its history. Settings lets you export your synced information or delete your account after verifying your email.

Account deletion removes your account, promises, check-ins, reflections, cohort messages and associated member records from the live database. Cohort-level records and anonymized audit entries can remain. Contact us to remove personal information mentioned in operational notes or support correspondence. Database backups can retain earlier copies for up to seven days. Provider security logs and support correspondence can remain for their operational retention periods; contact us about a specific deletion request.

Devices keep cached information and unsynced entries so check-ins work offline. Sign out before sharing a device. After account deletion, other devices clear their account data when they reconnect and can verify the deletion. An offline device or an unverifiable session may retain data until it reconnects or you remove the app’s data. Copies you export or that another member saves are outside Forge’s control.

Your choices

You can change your display name and shout-out preference, keep promise wording private, block or report cohort content, export your information, and delete your account. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete personal information by email. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Eligibility and updates

Forge is for people 18 and older. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us. We will update the date on this page when the policy changes and notify members about material changes.
